Overgrown Cemetery, Madikeri, Coorg, India.

The headstones of an overgrown and neglected British cemetery in Madikeri, Coorg, India. Our Research Team visited Coorg to try and find the grave of Elizabeth Ann Bidie, who died 19th January 1875 at the "Balatha Malay Coffee Estate." It was believed that she had been buried in the grounds of the plantation where her husband, William was a Coffee Planter. Our Research Team visited Madikeri to search the Register of Coffee Estates, held at the Coffee Planter's Association building. Unfortunately, the estate names have changed. However, we did find an old British cemetery but the vegetation prevented our team from looking at all of the graves.
