REGIMENTS. Regiments and Corps of the British Empire and Commonwealth, 1758-1993 A Critical Bibliography of their Published Histories

This unique award-winning reference work was published in 1994, and a small stock is still available at its original price. If produced today, giv en the subsequent increases in binding and paper costs, it would retail for at least £135.OO. It will not be reprinted so, simply as an investment for the future, it is an attractive addition to every bookshelf. With 806 pages, half a million words, and 2500 entries, all comprehensively cross-indexed, it was conceiv ed as an easy-to-use working tool for ev eryone engaged in British military historical research. Judging by the comments of its owners, it meets that aim in full. The book describes in detail the construction and contents of every unit history ever published by (or for) the regiments and corps of the former Dominions and Colonies, with condensed summaries of their active services, notes regarding Rolls of Honour, awards won, and much more. Most of these unit histories are long out of print, and many are extremely rare. This bibliography, therefore, saves time and effort for researchers wishing to know what is available and where a surv iving copy can be viewed. Highly commended.
